+ signs in G-325A forms

This is part of a reply to someone else but I guess more people will see it here...

If the G-325A forms are sent with the little + signs will it cause problems? Because I thought to leave it blank and fill it in with a pen, or abbreviate, but not soon enough, and by the times my forms were printed, I didn't want to use up more paper than I was already using (it wasn't my paper or printed unfortunately so I felt bad!) So I already sent the signed forms with the + sign to my fiancé... should I do it over again and tell him to wait before sending the I-129F??? (we've already been putting off sending this thing for a few weeks) The only two spots are a city which was too long and also I tried to write I-129F Petition for Fiance but it didn't fit so they just show up as something like Riviere-Beau+ and I-129F Petition+

BTW, the city (Riviere-Beaudette) DOES show up in my attachment for Employment Last Five Years... but I don't know that that would make a difference...

Seems like no one (so far) knows the answer to my question...I guess I might have to do them over (removing the plus signs by abbreviating that one city,) so I might as well ask the other questions I have, just to make sure I do it right next time!

The other fields I wasn't totally sure about at first but I think I ended up doing them correctly - but I just want to make sure - were the fields for Residence Last Five Years.

I live in Ottawa, Ontario but have worked as a LIVE-IN nanny in 3 other cities, two of which are outside of Ontario. One is in Alberta and the other is in Quebec. The one I'm in now is Hamilton, Ontario.

I was only in Alberta for two months, and I am currently in Hamilton for about 2.5 months. As a LIVE-IN nanny. I was in Quebec for 10 months.

I was in the U.S. to visit for longer than two months. But I was just visiting so I don't consider that I had an address there.

How should I fill in these fields? Are the places I worked in Calgary and Toronto considered my residences?

The way I ended up deciding I should do it was to list the places I LIVED and WORKED as a LIVE-IN nanny as my residences, even the ones that were only 2 months. For when I was visiting in the States, I just listed my regular address that I came home to as my residence.

Does this sound right? My fiancé originally thought I just needed to put my address in Ottawa and my address in Quebec because the others, since they were only two months, he thought weren't necessarily my residences. But then he said he wasn't sure how it worked...and I said it would probably confuse USCIS if they see that I say my residence is in Ottawa but that I worked in Alberta, which is the other side of the country!

Me and my fiance had the same problem when filling out our G-325A. I downloaded an updated version of Adobe and all the + signs went away. But my fiance just hand wrote the information that was showing up with a + sign. Hopefully that will be okay, I guess we will find out! But I think its okay to hand write some of the information as long as its neat and legible!

I did the search earlier and the first time it worked, second time it didn't, but nothing the search function came up with answered my question. I COMPLETELY understand about being able to abbreviate or fill the spot in in black ink (which is what was said in most of the posts) BUT what I'm asking is if it will cause problems if my forms are sent in with the + signs anyway, because I already sent them, signed, to my fiancé, plus signs intact.

I did the forms with Adobe 8.0 and still got the plus signs Took an hour to download the thing too because my computer was messed up! I think! hehe

They were smarter than me I think! I would fix it and do it again but I might have to just wait a couple of weeks if I do that :/

Okay, I had this same problem. I only realized like after 10,000 pages. I was mad! lol

But being as ####### as I am with details, I redid them and got rid of the little plus sign.

The plus sign just tells you that what you typed in the field is bigger than the field itself.

To get rid of the plus signs..

Right click anywhere in the document where you can't type something in and choose the option:

"Page Display Preferences"

Then on the left hand side with the options go to:

"Forms"

and

Uncheck the box next to the option "Show Text Field Overflow Indicator"

It should not show the + signs anymore and when you print it, they won't appear on the page either.

It just sucks that you'll have to reprint everything. I just reprinted ones I would send away, and kept for myself/my fiance the + sign ones as copies.

Yes, that's what I was thinking! Maybe we should just wait the two weeks since maybe that would ensure I wouldn't have problems crossing the border since I plan to visit him mid-March. Hmm. Then we can even look over everything together before he sends it all. But then we might have to get new passport photos since they have to be less than 30 days old (we got them the 19th of February,) and they were expensive enough. Ugh!

You can just either use an electrical typewriter (like i did) or hand write all the fields on G-325A if you have problem with the + signs and don't wanna download the new Adobe. I was using 7.0 and the plus sign still came up...then I just got bored of it and decided to type down the answers manually. It won't be a problem.

You only write down places where you have lived for 6 months or more under residences last five years.
