I don't, and to me anything to do with the promised land is not about the bible. It's about what kind of artifact they find or have found. I couldn't care less what the bible has to say about it.

You don't but the entire right wing, currently in power in Israel, does.

The bible is a collection of books. The early books are not christian books, they have Jewish origin. The early books are about nothing but the orgins of, laws of, and stories of the Jewish people.

Those books, Jewish books all, originally penned in Hebrew, are the source of that claim. But the book with that claim has the fantastical, magical story of a "creation" that is not and cannot be as it actually happened. Nobody can or has identified the author of that claim.

Which makes me think that a group of guys who were part of the Jewish religious community stuck in captivity under the Babylonians 600-700 BCE gummed this up to rally the people together, and as an unintended consequence everyone has fallen for it ever since.
