How did you get greencard right after interview date? All we got was thr passport

May 7, 2014 - I-130 sent to Chicago, IL Lockbox

May 12, 2014 - Case recieved at Chicago, IL.

May 13, 2014 - Case accepted. Received LIN#. Case forwarded to USCIS, Nebraska. i-797 hard copy received shortly after.

We got approved for AOS once approved they email you a notification and text message. Once done the green card is updated to card in production and then mailed out to u. Ur case will be different since ur applying for a i130. Ur wife will have the green card when she arrives in the USA. I adjusted from a k1 visa. Questions?

Oh I see. I thought yours was cr1. K1 is fiancé visa? How did you adjust so they gave you a green card when not married?

I think u need to really understand the process and difference between a k1 and cr1. K1s marry within 90 days of your fiancée in the USA. Cr1s are when u marry abroad. U can't file for AOS if u are not married. That's the k1 requirement whitin 90 days of he or she arrival in the USA.

Jho369 I believe you may be confused about how the K-1 process works. Zeta never said he wasn't married. In fact, in order for Zeta's wife to get her green card, they had to marry within 90 days of her arrival to the US per the K-1 instructions. After they were married, they could proceed with the AOS process that leads up to receiving the green card.

K-1 Timeline

2015-01-04 :Submitted I-129F to Lewisville, TX Lockbox via USPS

2015-01-06 :Received delivery confirmation from USPS and routed to the USCIS California Service Center

2015-01-08 :NOA-1 (Received by text and email)

2015-01-12 :NOA-1 (Received official Receipt Notice)

2015-01-15 :Fiancée applied for single status certificate

2015-01-20 :Fiancée got household registration Book (Ho Khau)

2015-01-20 :Fiancée applied for Police Certificate #2 and received it the same day! Without coffee money!
