Green Card in Hand!!!

We just got my wife's Green Card in the mail on 10-14-2015. Took about 8 days including weekends from our interview approval til arriving in the mail and in our hands. Now 2 years til ROC. Good luck everyone.

Why would seeing my signature bogg you down? Its pretty much not up to us but how immigration and the consulate handles each case. We were fortunate to have a smooth process which took about 5 months to finish AOS and Green Card in hand. Good luck on you journey. Passing the interview is just the first step but don't let that discourage you from seeing how how the process can take.

ask for tier 2 operator and request it, u need to show proof of why you want to expedite and provide as much details as possible

Wow! Glad for you two. We filed in Feburary of 2015 and still nothing, except her EAD and AP card. We did get a notice of an interview waiver possibility though.

I think its better to get the interview schedule date then a possible waiver, waivers can take up to another 6 months for green card to be approve.

Paperwork and the process is normal, its just like filing for the K1 visa but keep all your documents because you will need it when you file for AOS, one of the paperwork I am glad we kept was the DS3025 for medical exam. Ims sure you and your fiancee have that when she did her medical in VN?? If not you will need the i-693 completed by a civil surgeon for AOS.

My advice is to handle AOS when you guys feel ready but don't postpone too long since the medical is good for 1 year. I would suggest maybe 3-6 months after she arrives in the USA and start gathering all your paperwork for AOS and get joint bank accounts, add her to your insurance, car, credit cards, rental agreements....

GC in Hand is a big WIN so yes I'm pretty stoked about it....

You don't want to wait 3-6 months because your K1 Visa expires 90 days after she arrived to the U.S. After 90 days and you don't file AOS, she's in limbo because her legal status expires after 90 days, married or not.

I understand Frontgear, what I was referring to was giving a timeframe since I know the medical expires in 1 year and it is up to the couple to decide on when they are ready to file for AOS. I was only giving an example of 3-6 months to file AOS.
