It depends in what context you're talking about? The doctor will not call your GP to get your vaccination record, that's your responsibility to bring those with you to the medical, or a test of being immune/having had a certain disease. Once at the medical, the doctor will examine you and you will answer a series of questions. If the doctor feel there is something in your medical history that needs to be clarified or followed up on, such as drug use, mental health etc, you will need to sign a waiver allowing the doctor to contact your GP. The clinic will not contact your GP for anything other than if a follow up is needed. If you go to the medical and don't have your vaccination records, you will need to get new vaccinations at your medical. If you know you've been vaccinated but don't have the record to prove it and didn't check your immunity before the medical, they will take a blood test to check your immunity at the medical.

Thanks for the info. It's just that I've various conflicting posts on VJ on if there is a need for follow up info. Most say that the doctor makes you source the information/letters from your GP yourself and others say that the doctor contacts the GP directly.

I'm just trying to understand the process to help understand what kind of records I should bring with me in advance and what kind of follow up docs might be required.
