Okie so i responded to the latest checklist sent by NVC to me regarding missing Birth Certificate and Marriage Certificate and they received it on 09-10-15 and sent a confirmation email too. Now my question was Can i request the review of these documents over the phone and request for case complete?

Nvc has already done the review of our documents and only these two documents were missing so now at this stage i think it wont be a problem for NVC to review these two documents and do case complete over the phone? What can i do in this regard to get a case complete. Any Advises?

Thanks

I would probably wait till Monday before I call. If you call now, they might put you on supervisor review, since it's past the 30 days, and that's a real gamble. If you're lucky, you'll get a nice NVC rep that can put you through to someone that can review your case on the phone. I know some people have been successful with this. I can tell you that between the time we were put on supervisor review and until today, we have called about 19 times and emailed 7 times, and have only once been able to reach an NVC rep that was willing to put us through to a supervisor, who then didn't pick up the phone or call us back. You're only just past the 30 day mark for your review and if you call now, you have a bigger chance of supervisor review than you do of them reviewing your case over the phone.

Yeah, you'd think it would be a quick process for them to follow up on a checklist. All we had to do was add a zero in question 13 on the new i-864, which they received on June 29th. Three and a half months later, we still have no cc. NVC is definitely not known for being efficient and competent.

Be patient. The officers have groups of cases that they work on. They aren't sitting there only waiting for your response. They want to be rid of your file just as quickly as you want it to move along too.

Oh I am sorry top read that you guys are still stuck at NVC hopefully you get over this stage soon. The reason i asked was the day i received the checklist it was evening and i already sent my documents to NVC that morning due to a rep whom i talked with previous evening. The check list stated that i dont need to send any thing to NVC now because they are in the process of scheduling my interview with the consulate and bring the missing documents on the day of interview but sadly i already sent these documents to them so now i was wondering if some how i can speed up the process coz i really want to get an interview date in November :/

I know but i have been waiting for quite some time. Thing is as i said above they were in the middle of scheduling my interview anyway with the consulate and instructed to bring the missing documents to the interview so now i dont want to wait for another 30 days just because of these two documents thats why I am curious if i can get a case complete over the phone.

They want to be rid of your file just as quickly as you want it to move along too.

No offence but I seriously doubt that. We are an ever growing group of people here on VJ being stuck at NVC for a very long time for no apparent reason. In our case, NVC have been unable or "forgotten" to review my DS-260 for five and a half months and our case have been sitting at a supervisor's desk for 120 days now. So no, I doubt NVC cares about how long a case sits with them. They have no alarms or warnings when a case have gone over the timelimit, so they can just put a case in a drawer and let it collect dust if they want. And when you call NVC, you speak to a rep, not the person holding on the case.

Anonymous007, hopefully they schedule your interview before those new papers arrive at NVC. Did you call and ask them what happens once the checklist gets to them? Normally, the clock starts over whenever they receive new papers but since they've already completed your case, hopefully, the new papers shouldn't mean anything. But that's thinking logically and as most of us know, NVC is anything but logic.

Where are you getting your info about the NVC customers service reps ? Do you really know what you talking about or you just wanted to spam us with your Tax Transcript Service.

Yeah unfortunately i called them the very next day and told them the whole situation but like you know they dont care the lady rep said oh well since you have sent these documents we have to review these and it will take minimum 30 days. They received my documents on 8th october and sent a confirmation email on 14th october that they have received my documents on 9th october and they predefined text of theirs like they have high volume of incoming mails and allow then 30 days to review the documents. And you are right NVC have no proper system when it comes to handling the cases i have been continuously monitoring the cases which were filed way after mine and they already had interview scheduled. Moreover the cases which were filled in the year 2015 are being completed way faster than those which were filled in 2014. I think NVC lacks a proper system they are just bunch of random people doing clerical job without any sense of what they are doing. A case should be handled by first come first serve basis even if a case gets a RFE which most of the time is due to NVC own negligence like in my case i sent two different document packets containing my birth certificate and marriage certificate but they said they didnt get it how is it possible. And then again even if you respond to their silly RFE they put you on hold for another thirty days like its nothing. They dont know how much we have to suffer due their own negligence in performance of duty. I havent seen my wife for more than one and half year and most of us are going through the same situation. I think its not a rocket science that NVC couldnt resolve a case within a year. Anyways i hope every one of us good get over this pain of waiting and could get a case complete. Because this wait can make people nutts for real.
