us citizens mother just got approved for green card... how long will it take for the son of the permanent resident mother to come to usa?

hello I have been searching this forum but I cant seem to find the right answer... my wife is a us citizen and she petitioned her mother to come to the usa.. she got approved and now her mother is coming to the usa very soon, but the mother wants to petition her son, who is my wifes brother to come also.. how long will it take? he is unmarried with no children... what is the process like?

He should be classified as an F2B, check the visa bulletin for how many months is the waiting period before his visa will be processed.

AOS Timeline / Family-based

Feb 24, 2015 (day 0) - Sent Forms I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131 via USPS to Chicago Lockbox
Feb 26, 2015 (day 2) - Package delivered and received.
Mar 03, 2015 (day 7) - Text / email messages from USCIS, receiving Forms I-130, I-485,
I-131 and I-765.
USD 420 and 1,070 Checks were cashed.
Mar 08, 2015 (day 12) - Paper receipts of I-797C for I-130, I-485, I-131 and I-765 from mail.

Mar 13, 2015 (day 17) - Mail notice received for Biometrics appointment on March 25, 2015.

Mar 25, 2015 (day 29) - Completed Biometrics, as scheduled.

May 12, 2015 (day 75) - AP/EAD approved and Card has been ordered.

May 27, 2015 (day 90) - AP/EAD Card received in the mailbox.

June 3, 2015 (day 97) - Received NPIW letter in the mailbox.

Sept 24, 2015 (day 212) - I-130/I-485 approved. No Interview.

Sept 28, 2015 (day 216) - GC mailed.

Sept 30, 2015 (day 218) - GC received.

on the visa bulletin it shows priority dates.. but we have not applied for him yet because his mother is not here in the usa yet... so the date would be when we applied is that correct? for November 2015 it is showing

Either way, it would take even longer if his sister applied for him. For brothers and sisters of US Citizens it is currently taking 12 years.

Exactly... this means for unmarried adult children of Legal Permanent Residents, the wait right now is 6 years.

Mom can petition for the son once she is USC, that will take way less time than sister petitioning the brother (not immediate relative since no priority for this relation is given by USCIS, he will have to get into the queue and wait for years and years to have a visa available), same goes for the mother petitioning while she is a LPR(although i forgot that can she even petition the son while lpr).

He is not an Immediate Relative even is she waits to be a USC.
