I-485 Question

Hi all,

I followed the instructions on the I-485 form and sent it in to the Chicago Lockbox and now I'm confused. Did I send it to the wrong place?

It's been almost a week since they received it and have not cashed my cheque.

I followed the instructions on the I-485 form and sent it in to the Chicago Lockbox and now I'm confused. Did I send it to the wrong place? The Chicago lockbox is the correct mailing location for AOS petitions. http://www.uscis.gov/i-485-addresses

It's been almost a week since they received it and have not cashed my cheque.Do you have delivery receipt of you petition package by your designated service?

It sounds like you are going to have to give it some time. There have been reports of it taking 30 days or more for the petitioners to receive their receipts.

It looks like it is taking about 7 to 9 days for NOA1 for this AOS. You might want to join the October 2015 AOS Filers thread, you can see the timelines of some of the other folks that have filed recently.
