yes the i-485 is $1070...very expensive..plus you have to pay $165 for them to mail the temporary green card..then after 2yrs you have to file for permanent green card which cost like around $590 and a yr after that if they decide to file for a citizenship would cost them another $600+.

So,I checked the USCIS site on the needed documents that I need to submit for my AOS. I was amazed that the fee for AOS is $ 1,070. LOL

Is it the AOS - affidavit of support or the AOS - adjustment of status?? coz the adjustment of status is $1070

You are mistaken. Only someone entering on an immigrant visa pays the $165 immigrant visa fee. Someone who obtains a green card through adjustment of status does not.

Hi EliYan,

WOW, that's all I can say for now. More fees down the road.

thats right... the visa fee in usem is around P12k plus the medical is around that price too.. but its ok..its still cheaper than going back and forth just to see her back home.
