We all know Charles leans right on most issues. Hell he leans so far right he walks in circles. But, he can't moderate that way. It's biased

He was a mod actually on the sister site. It never developed a critical mass of people and died.

yes. but, I didn't sign on as a mod there. the 3 mods there were originally there to only boot spammers & delete their posts. that was a no tos board. once people realized a tos free board was bad idea. 'Mike' turned the janitorial crew into moderators....and we sucked at it.

back to topic:

how do we all make this sub forum & site better?

While we are on the subject of left and right, one thing that has changed drastically are the topics overtime.

There used to be alot more threads on economy and environment. Now every thread is race, religion and guns.

Yeah I know. It would have been ideal to have left and right leaning co-consoles.

Again though, not like it would allow us to treat CE&HST like it didn't fall under the Admin's directives.

But see, this is the rub. We were promised something different and it hasn't been delivered.

We do allow a lot more to slide here than the upper forums. And typically (before my recent absense) the mod team differed to me for most actions. I usually differed to no action. Which made people mad. To the point to where they earned action themselves. Which made them mad. What it comes down to is certain posters actively try to get rid of other posters. That's what drives this forum. If you guys would learn to live with each other, everything would fix itself.

The family friendly stuff is still in effect, no choice. Whole site. Pm site admin if you don't like that.

And this is the way it should be. Screw em if no action makes them mad. Tell em to grow a set and move on. The people who actively try to get rid of other posters should be given one warning, if they do it again, ban em. Those are the people that cause the most problems and get the good members in trouble, we don't need em.

What am I being harsh about? Suggesting that someone who does not have the time to do the job he signed up for to step down? No I don't think that's harsh at all. If it were me who was in that spot and I couldn't fulfill my duties, I would step down.

That's a very real possibility. And since its your business to know, it was my suggestion to the mod team. They opted to step up their involvement in my absense and to for me to do what I could. That's where we're at. Tbone has stepped up to take up my slack. And he's familiar with the environment of the sub forum.
