That's when they tune in to Hannity or Lunbaugh to learn what they should think about current issues...

I am your fan, and I miss your longer and more developed posts, but school and work are all consuming these days for me as well, so I empathize.

I didn't start posting in Off Topic (precursor to P&R, which itself was the precursor to CE&HST) until the summer of 2010 on a regular basis. I was TERRIFIED of some of the people in here. I got bashed about a bit and thoroughly hazed. Being the most visible feminist in what's primarily a sausagefest (especially these days) wasn't always fun. Until it was fun. Now it's not fun again, but in a different way. We don't cover much beyond racism and guns, and often the intersection of the two, and it's frankly a bore. Topics not on these grounds are often ignored. It's frustrating. Maybe I'm a hypocrite and not doing enough in posting new topics, but I'm busy as hell at the moment (work/school) and pretty much all I can manage is a one-liner or two. And maybe a pizza cat gif.

Like I said, we do take action if we see it. But its usually retroactive. And sometimes the damage is done.

Now would be a good time for us as a group to highly encourage the new and let the old hate go. The posters here have to drive this change. The mod team can only help keep the car between the lines so to speak.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I think you're missing the point G. Part of the reason you were put on as a mod for this forum was to filter out the frivolous reports and allow people some latitude in their discussion. In my opinion the reporting and the moderation only got worse. Why is that? I seriously doubt it was your doing. Were you not allowed to do what your original task was supposed to be.

No that's not what I want to hear and that's not what I think.

I see this post has gone unanswered. We wouldn't want to actually address any of the problems would we?

These threads are nothing but a practice in futility. I should've known better than to start it.

The posters here have been trying to drive for change in this forum for years with little to no results, it's the management that needs to get their butt in gear.

We have suggested numerous changes that would improve this forum, all have been dismissed.

I have a problem with taking the time to suggest changes that will help the site run better, then being told some changes will be instituted, ie: a new forum mod that will be more user friendly to the posters here, and then having nothing change. I have a problem with being lied to.

if you remember correctly there were suppose to be two new mods for this forum. one accepted one declined the invite. i'm curious as to what you assumed 'more user friendly' would be. in all honesty, it appears that you're blaming G more than anyone for this forum not becoming more 'teddy' friendly.
