Can i change my Interview location country!

Hi guys i want to ask you about something concediring the Diversity application,

I currently live in Asia (UAE) for work and my home country is Morocco in Africa and i want to participate in the DV program, my question if i apply within Asia and got selected and in the next year i went back to my home country can i have my interview in Africa even if my Case Number is AS****

Please answer asap!

May20th : checked the dv and got selected (got exited)


May28th: Completed Ds-260 form


Now: Pending with big fair...

First, you need to ensure you understand the chargeability rules. If you were born in Morocco (as I assume because you call it your home country) you should be charged to Morocco and have an AF number, not an AS number. If you select the wrong region you will be disqualified at interview if you win. Please read the instructions carefully before filling in your entry.

And yes you will be scheduled for an interview at the closest immigrant-visa processing consulate to where you live at the time of interview, regardless of what region you are charged to.

Please read the rules carefully. It is explained clearly. The short answer is yes, but you really need to read the rules before applying so you don't get something else wrong. Mistakes on entry can easily disqualify a winning entry, please don't be one of those people.
