Hello members I dislike when members come here for advice and never come back to tell us good or bad what happened.. For background on my case please check my profile..

Today I had an interview for my I-751 divorce waiver case and long story short it was approved within 5 minutes..

Questions asked

1) What happened?

2) Did you guys seek counseling (had counseling paperwork in the file)

3) Do you guys still talk ( Nope we aren't friends)

okay you're done then, donno why your case was sent over since you have a small kinkos here..

Approveddddd!!!!!! You'll get it as soon as possible

Ahhh okayyyyyyy?????!!!!!! I am still in shock.. Thanks to Sandranj she answers your question bluntly and with no emotion to it..

FYI I filed jointly signed petition while in the middle of our divorce and told USCIS, they sent RFE for divorce decree and additional evidence..

I have not slept or ate in the past week due to fear of what would happen since I have been here for 11 years - F1 ended up with BSc, MSc, and PH.D. never fell out of status and switched to CR-1..

Be strong fellow waiver filers while I cannot lie this process is stressful, I Almost lost my job since I have been so distressed for over a year and my life was literally on hold..

If you have specifics please msg me

Hi! My divorce is ongoing too. But unlike you I will be filing a waiver as me and my soon to be ex is not talking anymore. Like you said it is really stressful. Thank you for sharing your story. Question though, what evidences did you submit? Just wondering cause I dont have a lot, since we have only been together for 7months.

babygirl28 I also filed a waiver infact I sent my application before the divorce and pointed it out during the application which was jointly signed

I was married for 2 years and about 8 months and had the card for 1 yr and 10 months before the separation I did have a hugeee file

1) 2 joint cars

2) health, dental, vision and auto insurance and all medical and insurance bills

3) electric bills

4) 401 k and life insurance

5) lots of pics

6) joint taxes, w4s

7) 2 joint bank accounts spanning the marriage

8) 2 joint leases

9) counseling paperwork

10) Facebook stuff

11) emails and joint mails

12) 2 affidavits only from my side of the family

I didn't have them all at once but I just kept collecting and remembering little things. Don't be dismayed your case will be viewed on its merits they understand you weren't married too long...Focus on the things that made you a real family arguments, happy times..
