Questions Re NOAs for AOS, EAD, AP

Hi everyone,

I have filed my AOS, EAD, AP on the last week of July. I have received hardcopies for my NOAs for EAD, AP, AOS dated July 28 and 30, 2016 "received date". Upto now I still haven't received my biometrics appointment letter and I have already filed for a second service request. Meanwhile, my EAD and AP have already been approved. I had received email notification about it, and it also said so in the USCIS website.

I have only received the hardcopy of my EAD approval, I have waited for nearly a week for the hardcopy of my AP approval letter, but it still hasn't arrived. But, in the hardcopy of my EAD approval letter, it also states that AP has been approved. It actually says "Your application for EAD and AP has been approved. Your form I766, EAD with I 512 endorsement... yada, yada...".

My question is, is that it? Is the approval notice for EAD and AP one and the same, despite the fact that in the CASE TYPE it says I 765 Application for Employment Authorization? Or should I file a service request about the approval letter of my AP not arriving this time?

Another question is, who is responsible for allocating a case officer because I have already lodged a second service request for my AOS ( as my biometrics appointment letter has not yet arrived ) in the USCIS website it said that before that my case was assigned to an officer for a response, and yet when I called, the USCIS customer service told me that it was assigned but the officer had not touched my case yet. And now a second service request had been done and my case hasn't been assigned to anybody yet.

Last question, is there a possibility that I can just do a walk in despite not having my biometrics appointment letter, but with just the EAD approval and AP approval letter(if it arrives)?

I am so hoping somebody can give me some enlightenment regarding this.

When filing I-765 and I-131s together, it's routine to only receive case updates for one of them - usually the I-765 - and not the other, despite the other being approved as well. When you receive your EAD in the mail it should state along the bottom of the card "Serves as I-512 Advance Parole". This means that it is the common EAD/AP combo card.

Your biometrics delay is unusual. Most people receive biometrics appointments within a month of filing, so for you still not to have received one is out of the ordinary. It's highly unlikely you would be able to do a walk-in appointment without a biometrics appointment letter.

You may wish to make an Infopass appointment regarding your lack of biometrics.

I am sorry but I can't give you any advice and answer to your questions.But in my case, I filed my AOS last Sept.25 got my hard copy a week later and on Oct.9 got my biometrics letter and my biometrics is next week.You should have gotten your biometrics letter way before mine..

Thanks for the info. I have tried Infopass but it keeps saying there are no Information appointments available, but I have read somewhere to try at 1900 , so I will try again. Thanks again for the clarification.

New Infopass slots open daily, so check every few hours and you should get one in a day or two with luck.

Alleluia, my biometrics appointment just arrived and am scheduled for next week. My biometrics appointment letter only states that this is for my AOS and EAD, when I applied for all 3. Is this normal? Or should I also inform USCIS who will take my biometrics that I also applied for AP? Furthermore, does this mean that my AOS application will only start to be processed?

AP does not require biometrics.

Your AoS application is likely sitting in a big pile behind the AoS applications of people who filed before you; biometrics will not change that.
