Sponsor Change of Address Form I-865

Hello Everybody,

Long story short: I came to the US on a K1 visa, got married, filled for AOS, got Work Authorization and 2 year Green Card.

Our case is not pending anymore until the renewal of the GC.

My husband and I have moved to a new appartment on the 09/01/2015. I did my change of address with USCIS online a week after moving.

We realised this weekend that my husband, as my sponsor, has to notify the change of address to USCIS by filling the form I-865 (in the 30 days window of the move). We are about to send it today though the mail.

It has been more that 30 days we have moved, are we in trouble? Precisely, it has been 43 days.

Thank you in advance for your help,

No, you are not in troubles - just do it ASAP :)

US CIS strongly recommends using certified, registered or return receipt mail. You already have your online confirmation of the change of address, right? Your husband will receive his confirmation with regular mail about that change, as well as you too :) :).

You are very welcome ;:)

Also, I would notified your local Post office and keep in touch with people on your previous address. My husband and I, we have notified the USCIS about our new address ON TIME, we had confirmations - online and regular mails, the USCIS system has been also updated about that change, but despite all the above my EAD and NPIW letter were sent to our previous address. Both documents have finally found me only because we have notified the local Post Office, so..

Good luck!!!!! :) :)
