We got an email from the US embassy in Paris last week, directing us to visit the www.usvisa-info.com “Immigrant Visa Applicants”. We made an account, filled out the form, and made the payment on Friday (October 9). Today, October 12, the payment was processed and we are able to schedule our appointment.

We are given very strict directions only to select the date and time given to us (in December) for the appointment:

Please note, only the appointment date and time given by the U.S. Embassy Paris is valid, please select this date and time when registering your appointment as the local guards will only let you in that day.

On the website, though, I am unable to select almost any days. Only 4 days in October are available; the rest are greyed out. I am attaching screenshots that show the issue.

What is the problem, and how can we resolve it? Thank you!!

Those days that are 'grayed out'are not available, that is the reason why they are grayed out.Only those four that you mentioned are currently available. In Jamaica K1 interviews are only scheduled on a Friday. Idk if it is the same in Paris. Are those available dates you mentioned on a Friday? You will have to wait until a suitable date for you becomes available, keep checking frequently everyday.

Best of luck!

Thanks for your reply. However, since I have been assigned a specific date and time by the embassy, I don't see why that time slot would be unavailable?

How long did you have to wait after your status said ready before you could schedule you interview in Jamaica? Also did you have to send any documents in to embassy prior to the interview or just take the documents with you to the interview?
