Green Card arrived with misspelled name!

Well, we had the infopass...and still haven't received a response from our original inquiry/service request.

At the infopass, they would not give us the 551 stamp, and they made it sound like it was no big deal if we got the card corrected or just kept it as is. It's her middle name that's misspelled (by one letter) - which only appears on the back of the card in that long line of code at the bottom. The uscis agent said she checked the name in the system and they have the correct spelling, it was just the i-751 that the typo occurred.

She assured us we would never have any trouble leaving or entering the country.

So now we're trying to decide if we even want to mess with getting the correction. We don't care about filling out the form...it's just the sending back the card and waiting for 3+ months that has us worried.

Sounds like my wife wants citizenship, and the agent said she is eligible in july...so maybe we just wait until then to make the correction?

What would you guys do?
