We had our interview on 10/08 and it was pretty straight forward. The whole thing was done in like 15-20mins.

There were three numbered doors with waiting areas, so after checking in each will be assigned a door. Inside each door there are like 6-8 interview rooms..so at any given point of time around 20 interviews can take place simultaneously!

First the civic test, english reading and writing and the application review....

While going over the application when i told the officer about the traffic incident (which happened after biometrics), he just made a note of it and asked me a few questions and moved on.... Oh what a relief!

Same with our Canada trip (which was taken after applying), he just made a note of it. And the carribean cruise trips which we missed putting down while filing our application...he didn't care much when I brought them up!!

The icing on the cake is we were given our oath ceremony letters too after the interview and we were scheduled for the next day at the same place.

Oath took like couple of hours start-finish. You can register as a voter in the same room with a couple of people from that department waiting for you to get you registered!

There were about 100 people from 26 countries celebrating America! When all the countries were being announced, our 7yo son was like why wasn't America being announced!! Lol

It took us like 11-12 weeks for this citizenship process. Our best wishes for those of you still waiting .. just hang in there . The interview itself will be the easiest interview in your life. Trust me!

So happy :joy: that the whole immigration thing is over for us after a loooong journey

Thank you all for your support. Cheers

Congratulations! I'm on my way to mine in a couple weeks!

Quick question for you - what documents did you bring (besides the green card) to the oath ceremony?

The USCIS notice says "bring all documents USCIS issued to you", and I'm wondering if they meant literally everything? :)

We took all our passports, old and new with I-94's and also drivers license apart from the green card. They checked everything and just held back the green cards with them.

Also fill and sign the questionnaire they gave you at the oath place..

Good luck!
