Hi! We are on the process of K1.

My fiancé doesn't have that much money in the bank. But meets 125% poverty guideline. Do you think we will need to have a co-sponsor? And does he need to declare the amount of his savings? Or can we just leave it blank and just fill out other stuffs such as income, assets, etc.

Thanks!

If he meets the 125% poverty guideline you won't need a co-sponsor. As for savings/assets etc. I would, it can only strengthen your case.

Income is key. I didn't list anything else since my income was sufficient. It doesn't matter.

Your income is sufficient so no need to list bank savings. Leave the section about assets blank on the I-134, you only need to list your income. No need for a co-sponsor either.

USEM is only interested in your income meeting or exceeding the poverty guidelines (125%). They have zero interest in your savings.

Only list income. Leaving the savings and other assets blank is not an issue.
