Hi All,

I have done some searches but can't find the exact answers I'm after

I have my interview booked in next week however the i-797 expired on October 4th. My fiance as posted a new statement of intent to marry dated 10th October which will be here this week but is this enough. I have contacted the embassy but not heard anything yet. Do I need anything more than a recent statement of intent to marry?

Point number two, I've been going through the affidavit and I have it all together with pay stubs IRS transcripts and 401K information. Do we need more than these 3 items for the affidavit? I have read conflicting information that you need bank account details but also that these parts are optional for the K1 affidavit.

Thanks for your help guys!

Re: point number 2--It has been awhile, but I submitted all that you mentioned plus a letter from my employer stating that I employed full time and my annual salary and a letter from my bank stating the amount in my checking account at the time. I think the general rule of thumb is: more is better---if in doubt, SEND it! Good luck.

Point 1- that is what you need. I believe it tells you that in your letter of instruction from London you got when your case first arrived there. Read it again for reassurance.

Point 2- London would be happy with one proof of income...tax return or letter from employer or pay stubs. The IRA and bank statement would only be needed if he had no job and was trying to prove having enough assets to support. You have enough evidence for the I-134 to be approved.

Each consulate is different so if you read something from another country, it might not be true for London.
