I-134 birthdate mistake--arrrgh

Hi,

My interview has been scheduled on March 12. I just got my baby's paperwork in the mail today, including his affidavit of support. Well, I noticed there is a mistake :crying: He filled out his application online and we did notice that they have a software problem. As he was typing in some dates, the application would immediately type the same dates for the question above... Well, it wasn't a big deal really, BUT he never thought to double check his birth date..and the stinkin' application had changed his birth date, too! He had it notarized by a notary public....how can they notarize a document WITHOUT first checking if the data is true??? I'm so puzzled.

Soo....the rest of our paperwork is in order...what is your suggestion? To still go ahead with the same affidavit...or wait

longer (which feels like a year longer...) and get a new appointment...who knows when? :unsure:

Please help.

You still have some time. Can't you rush your fiance to make a new I-134 and send it with one of those express mails service so it could get to you in within 3-4 days? Go go go go!!

Jan 08th, 2007 Medical exam! --- Done! Dunno the result tho......... =/

Feb 22nd, 2007 Interview date!! - VISA APPROVED!!!!!

July 10th, 2007 Biometrics Appt.

I believe you do have enough time for your fience to fill out another affidavit and send it to you. I know i sent my wife some documents using Federal Express in the Philippines and it only took 1 week and she lives in a very rural area. I would suggest your fience also use Federal Express because I have heard some bad things about UPS and the USPS. While he fills it out online have him check the error. If he cant correct it online then leave that space blank and have him hand write the date. I hand wrote a number of questions on my affidavit and everything was fine. Aug-01-2006 - Second Trip to see Marie.

Aug-15-2006 - We got married, It feels so right!

Aug-24-2006 - Back home to the U.S. Again. Leaving this time was by far worse than the last.

Sep-03-2006 - 1 year since Marie and I met online

Oct-12-2006 - Email from USCIS - I129F transferred to California Service Center on Oct. 11th

Oct-18-2006 - Email from California saying they received my I-129F for processing

Nov-02-2006 - Email from CRIS(early afternoon) -I129F approved

Nov-02-2006 - Email from CRIS (late at night) - I130 approved

Nov-06-2006 - I129F and I130 NOA2 received in mail-Hooray!!!

I had an ever brighter idea! woohoo! My fiance printed out I-134 on two sheets of paper....out of which page two is the notarized part of the affidavit..SOOOOO...I'm just going to print out page 1 on the other side of his original page 2!!! How brilliant is THAT!?!?! GOD IS GREAT! And I'm so glad He gives us wisdob beyond measure! :dance:

That means we won't have to wait....and it will also reduce the chance of the embassy not liking it spread on 2 separate sheets of paper! HOW BRILLIANT! YESSS :thumbs:

Kay...I'm off to correcting mistakes!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaand it's done! ;)

Ladies and gentlemen...we now have a new and edited version of our affidavit! And it's on ONE sheet of paper..all notarized and with the correct birthdate!

For those of you who are filling out I-134 online..BEWARE! Their software messes up your dates! MAKE SURE you either leave dates empty so you can fill them out by hand!

My lesson learned, once again: God doesn't simply turn our mistakes around...He manages to use them to better situations! :yes:
