Hi VJ members, I need a help with question 8 of the I-134 affidavit of support form.

Last year of 2014, my US fiancée supported his mom financially and his mom is on his dependent list on his 1040 papers. But as of this year of 2015, his mom is no longer dependent on him for some reason thus he no longer supporting her financially.

The question is : He sent the petition package on June 1st 2015 and we got approved on July 23rd 2015. I will have my interview schedule on October 20th and we're confused on what we should put on question 8. Should we put his mom's name as dependent since the mom is no longer dependent on him as of 2015, but the mom's name is on his 2014's 1040 paper as his dependent. The USEm in my country asked for his 2014's W2 and 1040 so I worry if the USEm will match up the info on his 1040 and his I-134 form while the situation has changed this year for him.

Any advice for such case? I really appreciate your help.. Thanks a bunch..

Anyone listed as a dependent on the most recent tax return is typically counted in the household size.

From the I-864 instructions (and would apply to the I-134 used to support a K visa petition) >>>>>>

Enter the number of any other dependents. You must include each and every person whom you have claimed as a dependent on your most recent Federal income tax return, even if that person is not related to you. Even if you are not legally obligated to support that person, you must include the person if in fact you did support that person and claimed the person as a dependent.
