When will My Family get here?

I was married in March or 2015 in Mexico. I'm a US citizen working to get my Mexican wife and 2 boys into the US.

I hired an attorney to file the initial I-130 for my wife. I filed the I-130s for the 2 boys a few months later. After 5 months passed for my wifes I-130 receipt I contacted USCIS and have been told to wait another 45 days. I cannot get any solid information from anyone regarding all this.

I feel like attorney is paid and that is all I'm gonna get, a filed form that I could have done myself once I knew the correct one for our situation.

Just looking for some honest answers and time frames. What to expect moving forward.

yeah all the paperwork could have been easily done by you.. unless there are difficult issues that would require an attorney.

My sister was on a K-3 visa. She filed in February 2013 and was in the U.S. October 2013. It could take up to a year or more. I guess a year is average.

I would reach out to your congressman's office. Our I-130 was past normal processing time, so I submitted a service request, was told to wait 30 days, nothing happened. After 7.5 months, I asked my congressman to look into our I-130 and my husband's petition was approved a week after.
