Yes you can obtain a cenomar with your ex's name on. You can order a copy of your cenomar online then have it delivered to your relative's address then tell your relative to mail it to you www.ecensus.com.ph/Default.aspx

Hello hank! U said usem will trumps cenomar.. but still need to obtain one.. how was that possible? We are still married in the philippines regardless of of our divorce decree.. Nso will not issue cenomar to married citizen for it is a certificate of non marriage.. u know any way how to obtain cenomar? Tanx

USEM will recognize the divorce decree (as does most of the rest of the world), even if the CENOMAR/CEMAR still shows you are married in the Philippines. You still are required to present a CENOMAR/CEMAR, you always request a CENOMAR from PSA (NSO) if records in the Philippines show you are married they will issue a CEMAR... just how it works... that is what the embassy will want to see. It will be fine.

Hank

Just received my 1st packet from US embassy for my application of K-1 Visa yesterday. I feel so worried about one of my requirements that they asked me to submitt, the CeNoMar w/c stating of my singleness in the Philippines. I was married in Phils. but divorced in hong kong. The problem is, Philippine Government will not recognize my divorce so my record in NSO will still remain Married. But i also read that the US embassy will acknowledge my Divorced in Hong kong. I was so confused if there will be a conflict on my papers for this situation? Will my Divorced Certificate trumps my CeNoMar? Anybody here been through on this kind of problem in applying for K-1 Visa? I hope to hear some response! Thanks!

As for the CENOMAR you don't get a CENOMAR you actually will be sent a CEMAR. (also note in my recollection that must be delivered directly to the consulate in HK) The US Gov. then pairs that with the HK divorce decree to make sure that you are now single in the eyes of the USA. There are agents in HK just downstairs from the Philippine consulate that will help process the request for the required documents. In addition the Philippine Consulate in HK is also familiar with this process and while perhaps not overly sympathetic they are not antagonistic either.

My wife pointed out that the CENOMAR is ordered online as indicated by others... That you'll go the philippine consulate for the NBI police clearance and that's when you can get help from the agents downstairs.

Apply for CENOMAR and receive the CEMAR. CENOMAR and/or CEMAR cannot be older then six months at time of interview. Check the dates on your current CEMAR to determine if you will need a new one.

Yes, correct. You request a CENOMAR from PSA, they issue a CEMAR.

Do you still need one if you already have one? Don't know depends on HKs requirements, with USEM they want the CENOMAR/CEMAR to not be older than 6 months.

Hi Snow,

Once you get 'packet 4' (from the embassy) that should contain all the requirements including police clearances from everyplace you have resided as well as the CENOMAR. The CENOMAR is ordered thru www.ecensus.com.ph/Default.aspx. All docuements requested by the consulate from the Philippines in 'Packet 4' including the CENOMAR and the police clearance has to be sent directly to the consulate. You can't do this until you get 'packet 4'. Perhaps this has changed but I doubt it since my wife processed about a year ago. Note that my wife's packet 4 did not request a CENOMAR but that was an accidental omission from the consulate and she knew this because two other friends had packet 4 and definately required a CENOMAR..

-

My wife and I will be back in Hong Kong (we live there) on the 19th. If you want send me a Personal message with your Email address or contact number in HK and she can reach out to you to assist (reassure) you. As I said she's been thru all of this less than a year ago.

-

Regards

And yes, you request a CENOMAR and a CEMAR is sent to the consulate once you pay the $25 USD fee.

Nso will issue you a cenomar with your ex's name on it. Usem will accept your cenomar but make sure to attach the copy of your foreign divorce. My fiancee had her interview last month and they accepted her cenomar with her ex' husband's name on it.

Hi Eliyan, I think we have the same situation like yours, am filing for k1 visa my fiancee is from Philippines and she got divorce from her foreign ex husband, she got the original copy of decree of divorce with notary one, we hired an immigration lawyer, now my fiancee was thinking about cenomar things in Philippines, which she said her status indicated married but the , lawyer said cenomar isn't really a requirements for k1 visa. Now am confused, is she just going to bring her decree of divorce ? And attach the cenomar or cemar when the time of her interview?

CENOMAR is standard requirment for k1 visa, but the usem will only require u wen u already have ur packet3.. Since ur fiamce is divorced with a foreign husband, she will still need to apply for cenomar but she will be givem a cemar instead, but she will only need to attach her final divorce decree to the cemar just to establish that she is already free to marry.. It will be ok..usem will tramp the cemar because of her divorce decree
