$252 is actually very very cheap. Before i had my medical, i called several Civial Surgent offices to see how much they charge and i couldn't find anyone that would charge less than $250 and i would have had to go to Pennsylvania to take it, which is an hour and a half away. so i ended up taking in in WV where i live and it cost $399 which included the physical exam, the blood test and one vaccine.

but seriously, $252 is very cheap so i would go for it

try calling different civil surgeon. Here's the link: https://egov.immigration.gov/crisgwi/go?act...office_type=CIV

$252 is too expensive. they just need to transfer your vaccination document in I-693 form. I got mine for $85 (medical and Tetanus vaccine). But you do not need to go another medical exam because i presume u got that already in your country. And try to INSIST that to the civil surgeon. My husband doesn't want to argue with the civil surgeon that's why we do another medical for me.

REMOVAL OF CONDITIONS:

The visa medical was over 1 year ago. They will need a new medical exam. $252 is not too expensive.

That's not that bad compared to numbers we've seen. My husband paid about 280 for all his vaccines and the medical, but if it's all you can find, save your money.

If you need any vaccinations you might be best to go to your counties health department, you can save a ton of money by getting the vaccinations there first. As for the medical examination, I thought that my wife and daughter would have to go through that as well but they came over on a K-1 and a K-2 visa so they had already had their medical exams within the past year.

Thanks,

I just paid 165 dollars for another MMR, Tetnus and the first Chicken Pox vaccine. The chicken pox one was 90 dollars alone. And, the 165 dollars was through my health department on an unemployed discount. Ide say 252's pretty good.

Wow!

We have our physicals scheduled for 03/07/07. Mine will be $160 and my 2 sons (under 14) will be $120 each. This includes the blood tests and return visit for TB. I was having a problem getting my old vaccination records from Canada due to my Dr. retiring and all files being in a storage warehouse somewhere. I just went to my health unit and paid $7 each for the MMR & tetanus ($14 total!!) This saved us over $90 from having it done at my family practioner or the civil surgeon.

165 seemed high to me as well. But, it was the health dept. and I am unemployed...I think the chicken pox just drove the price up a lot, who knows.
