I'm so happy we brought him home he is acting more like himself. He is moving his legs more and eating better. He is smiling and laughing and playing some.

The little Jedi has been talking up a storm lately. New words just keep coming!

Yesterday the Hillbilly sent out an email letting the OT girl know we are stopping with those visits. I don't see the point in continuing something with someone new just to be starting over with him getting used to her. The first day she was with him she didn't spend more then 5 mins doing something and then just stopped for the day.

I bet we still get billed for an hour!

We are keeping up with PT as they do work on his muscles, stretching and helping him bare weight. We do all this at home and have better luck then OT but I like the girl and I need to make sure he keeps those muscles good. Today she is taking him swimming. :) Hopefully he will like it as it's just her in the pool not me. He loves water though so we are hoping it will make it more fun for him. He likes this girl just not the working part :P

He does have a surprise for her today too. He is very sturdy on his feet. It's like he woke up and the legs just were stronger. He is so much more solid not all jiggly legs! He also was standing for a second without holding onto anything. :)

He may just be walking by Christmas :luv:

It is cute and all old world Europe. I always pictured Polish cities as being more modern and I have no idea why I'd think that.

Follow up story to the school that banned Christmas and the pledge of allegiance

At my daughter's school they aren't allowed to do anything at Halloween that isn't Fall related, so it basically has to just be leaves and pumpkins. :sleepy: I don't see that as much different.

Well, here, the people have spoken.

At my daughter's school....the SLT (me), the faculty, and the principal, all see eye to eye. There's a Christmas tree in the school.

Did you read the part where the superintendent stormed into her school, and 5 minutes later, the PA said "rise for the pledge of allegiance"?

NYC is a little more conservative than people think.

I'm all about the non-christian reasons to celebrate Christmas. It's about family for me, which was the only reason I enjoyed the nativity thing.

I'm not religious.

I do consider myself Christian.

I do like the 10 commandments. Which is also where our penal law comes from.

My family, loves the holiday spirit!

And we love this country.

I ordered Tiff's Christmas gift. Eau de toilet (Tark's favorite).

If you really loved her, you'd get her a pre-owned toilet seat and an atomizer of the preferred scent: L'arôme d'un siège de toilette utilisé. Give Tiff the whiff, sniff man.

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
