Wow that poor girl. I can't even imagine the trauma that child is going through right now. Mom should of had her act together and got sole custody when the father didn't want anything to do with her.

Wow you're right not one website I've been on mentioned anything about today!

Get with the times lady. People don't want tubs.

But you can put a tub on the other side of the bathroom.

Speaking of lady, we haven't heard from Tark.

Maybe he went for acupuncture, and the Fook stabbed him in the brain nerve by accident....now he's paralyzed from the neck up...

Well people normally want A tub if they have small kids. Since this house is like a block from an elementary school. But we want two showers. A double upstairs and a larger single down. It's only a 2bedroom house. Im also removing the walk in closet that we dont need. Edited by NLR

Bathrooms are one of the most expensive things to renovate.

I'd keep the tub, but then again you said it's just a two bedroom and one is upstairs and one down? The tub should be in the area where kids would be using it. I can't see myself wanting a house where the tub is in a out of the way bathroom. It needs to be convenient.

I want to rearrange the main bath to have a shower and keep the tub. If we change things around I can fit both in there. It won't be a huge shower but it will be a big tub, the kind with jets and such :P

Its two bedrooms up. The upstairs bathroom is tiny. I'd like double sinks. I think it would be cheaper to put in the shower vs a bigger or better tub. The old one would have to go.

Showers, if built right, are not cheap. In fact, they cost much more than a tub. There's much more than meets the eye. You guys have seen pics of my bath, but what you can't see is the underlying materials throughout.

For the shower, concrete backer boards, lead, pvc, or fiberglass lining under the tile work. Glass work is expensive. Faucets can be very expensive.

In other areas, fixtures are expensive. Glass vanity. The other faucets. And Tarks favorite, the toilet bowl. Tile work. Heated floors etc...

The picture you showed us, you can do that for 4000, and you can do that for 20,000. Depends on what you put in there. Just the glass doors for that shower cost 1500 installed. The faucets probably 1000. And you won't use a hundred dollar sink for that bathroom, nor a hundred dollar toilet bowl (unless you're Tark)...
