A Midsummer Night's Rant

An actual rant - I don't know what the #### I'm doing at the moment. I've been offered to skip a level in my major and go into a higher class only as a limited time offer, but I won't do it because I can't handle the thought of the little Viking, who would then be 8.5 months old, at daycare. Plus, he is exclusively breastfed at the moment. It is frustrating because when my daughter was little, I would have jumped on that opportunity and I just can't do it now. They've also offered me independent study, but without skipping levels... for this next year.

I probably should work so we can afford obligatory trips back to Denmark, but I really don't want to. A local place is desperate for employees and I might be able to bring the little guy to work, but I so just don't want to work.

Do you think they will get you another/similar offers (according studies or work) in one year, when you'll be able to leave the little Viking at the daycare?

IMHO you can always finish studies or go to work at some later time.

Little Viking will be little only once ;)

The higher level class does it come with much more work? Because not only will you have the little one in daycare but your time with him after school would also be used up with the extra work.

Hope you feel better soon!

I need to figure out what to wean the little guy off of first the Tylenol or the Advil? Once I do that then we very slowly start trying to get him off the neurotin, and that one needs to go real slow and hope he can get off of it as he hates taking it.

You OK? Got a cold?

Yeah, on the tail end of a cold that we've all gotten. Blahhh.

They will let me do the similar equivalent via independent study, but will require me to do the in between level. It would hopefully mean that we wouldn't have to do daycare until closer to 2.5. I think then would even be a good time because there is some socialization aspects to it. Plus, the on campus childcare doesn't even take then until at least 18 months. I am kind of aiming for them because I know they are good quality.

I actually checked after I posted and we'd have almost no net benefit to me working too at the moment. That is kind of silly.

Of any of it - between tax increases, gas, clothes, and losing insurance for the kids and having to buy it on the private market with big deductibles.

Nope, we wouldn't be any better off until the Dane is done with his training and I can earn a higher wage.

Waiting for the Neurologist for daughters eyes to call back. Her pills are over 300 a month, the pharmacist said there is one that is cheaper with a coupon I can get off the internet. So I looked into coupons for this drug he already wrote and I can get it at walmart with this coupon for less then 60.

Funny how each place has a different rate.
