A Midsummer Night's Rant

Speaking of citizenship... Friend of hubs asked if that was the last step in my process and while I was explaining... hubs piped up, "she won't ever become a citizen. She doesn't think America is the best country in the world." While the first part is only mostly true, the second part definitely is.

Then they went on to rant about illegals who join the military just to get green cards and then naturalization.

Apparently they really dislike it when people join the military just for citizenship.

I always find it humorous that I know more about US history than many Americans do.... I don't think Canada is the best country in the world either btw... But I think there are more positives.... I'd like to retire there one day and never worry about paying for health care again.

Oh man I'm so tired!

We emptied and ripped out the carpet then prepped the floor and got the laminate in our bedroom and I had the older two boys do their bedroom yesterday. My house is still a disaster and I need to finish getting stuff in my room but we are done and just need to purge the junk that the Hillbilly has collected!

Yer supposed to do this flooring stuff before the first frost. If'n you do it after the first snowfall, its too late. Glue not set right, boards not acclimate properly, etc etc.

Now, if you do like i do, and get the laminate for free, used, then it won't matter; you can put in another real set after first snowmelt.

Sweden is an interesting choice - have you been there? I have reasons why it wouldn't be for me - namely that they've let too many non-EU immigrants in and those people are not blending into the cultural fabric of Sweden and creating problems. Plus, it is overcast a lot, I mean a lot a lot.

I really want to go to New Zealand!
