Please help! Montreal Consulate Appointments Are Not Open!

How can you check with the Montreal consulate to see if they have 'logged' your case from NVC? I have my packet 3 ready but I dont know how to check to see if it's been processed.

Montreal is just slow, but yes I think Monday should be enough time for them. You know that Montreal received it so that's a good thing, now you just have to wait for them to log it into their systems

You can email them and ask if they have received and logged your case, and ask if your packet 3 is ready to send. Their email is MONTREAL-IV-DV@STATE.GOV. You'll get an automated response saying it takes 3 business days to get a response, but it's usually faster.

Thanks for your response. I've e-mailed the consulate twice now and they reply within a few hours so far. Thanks again though for the suggestion I'll e-mail them and see what they say.

What day did you receive your NOA2 from NVC? Have you checked CEAC website to see when your last "status updated" date was?

June 12th 2015: Fiance filed I-129F, June 19th, 2015: (NOA1) Received at California Service Center

July 23rd, 2015: (NOA2) NVC received

Aug 31st, 2015: NVC Approved and fwd case to consulate in Montreal. MTL case # given.

Sept 8th, 2015: MTL received and sent P3 by mail, Sept 18th, 2015: P3 received in mail, Sept 18th, 2015: DS-160 completed and P3 documents sent by e-mail

Sept 21st, 2015: P3 Approved. Received P4 by e-mail, Sept 21st, 2015: Booked K-1 Visa interview for December 2nd, 2015!!

What day did you receive your NOA2 from NVC? Have you checked CEAC website to see when your last "status updated" date was?

My letter came in the mail from the NVC two days ago but they had shipped my case on November 4th. I tracked it via DHL and it showed that it was delivered on November 6. On the CEAC website it still says in transit. So either they are slow in updating or im just antsy. I will e-mail the consulate next week on Monday to see if they have processed it. That should be enough time right?

Montreal is just slow, but yes I think Monday should be enough time for them. You know that Montreal received it so that's a good thing, now you just have to wait for them to log it into their systems and you will be able to send them the P3 e-mail. You're well within the normal time frame still though so try not to let it stress you out if you can. :)
