Hi All,

I have a question. Filed I-751 about 4 weeks ago. USPS tracking says, delievered to CSC PO BOX.

I filed with fee waiver. So no check sent.

It has been 4 weeks without NOA. My GC expiring in 2 days. Called USCIS many times, they do not have any record yet. One second tier officer said, it can take 4-6 weeks.

I am wondering if they lost, or not sure whats going on, there computer system will automatically produce removal proceeding notice. I am so worried.

  • 2 weeks later...

Got mail from USCIS. They returned my application. RFE says, no fee. They rejected my fee waiver request.

So I have two questions.

-- As my GC is expired, I am planning to attach cover letter saying, this is my repeat application, bla bla with there RFE copy to make sure they understand I did send application within 90 days. Any suggestion other than that?

-- Do I need to send new I751 or OLD which They returned is ok. Signature date is a month old. Guess should not be issue.

-- I am borrowing check from my friend. Is it ok to send someone else check. Do I have to send two separate check of 505 and 85 USD or one check of 590$ is enough.

thanks in advance

Send in everything they sent you, including the RFE notice (as directed), and the check with the correct fees. A cover letter as you describe is a good idea.

Be sure to make copies of ALL correspondence, delivery receipts, RFE notice, etc. You would then have documentary proof of your previous on-time submission.

Good luck on your immigration journey.
