Yellow Packet at POE

I think this is the first question I've put on the forum, but........my fiancee came yesterday and while we were unpacking I noticed she had her yellow packet with her stuff. The visa in her passport is "CWOP" as it should be and she shows up in the I-94 tracker. I'm confused why they gave her all the papers back. I thought they kept those and sent them off to USCIS. There are her country clearances, birth cert, original petition, among other things......

A little confused.

Is that the sealed envelope? If it is they were supposed to keep it

11 Feb 2014: Visa APPROVED!

20 May 2014: Wedding!

Yeah, the yellow sealed packet that she received from the embassy should've been kept by the POE immigration. Did she say if they opened it and looked through it?

Yeah, I agree with ^^ Tahoma. You should talk to someone at CBP to straighten this out. It was my understanding that this yellow packet was forwarded to USCIS so they can keep a record of it once it's time for AOS and other immigration related things.

Can't complain I guess as everything from day one until has been absolutely smooth sailing with zero stress and smooth sailing. I'll give them a call, just wanted to make sure before I did; though I was 99.999999% sure they kept it.

Well finally got ahold of them and they verified that she's admitted correctly and just gave me an address to send it to. They said it's not unheard of but really isn't that common that it happens.
