Status update to ready upon receiving medical

Hi All,

Our status has been updated October 8th meaning they have received our medical results - because it has been updated on ceac, does this mean they have issued packet 4 containing information regarding our interview?

No it doesn't. But it could mean they updated your medical results as received. It can be several weeks before you get an interview assigned.

On your post regarding the K1 visa process, the person you had written it with clearly states that an update on CEAC means one of two things: they have received readiness form or they have issued a letter. CEAC already updated October 2 for my readiness form and re updated today.

If this is not the case, may I suggest taking false information off of your thread as it is very misleading.

First of all, I can't edit anything once posted.

Secondly, the CEAC is not really dependable for everybody exactly the same. there are always little exceptions or odd hiccups. If you read every post everyday, then you come to see that. Like the one whose CEAC still says AP, but got her visa today. Somebody forgot to update the case status.

Or if you read the entire guide, you wouldn't have asked for the DOS number. DOS won't answer questions anymore. Can't edit. The guide is old and has some problems...kinda like me.

Or if you looked at the thread Medical to Interview date. How long? 2015 data, http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/549078-medical-to-interview-date-how-long-2015-data/ you would see it varies by weeks. Fifty-three K1s have report how long their case took. You are going to get a better sampling than starting a thread asking how long and getting only a couple of replies.

Dig around a little. If you're using a phone, it makes it harder so maybe find a computer.

That is fair enough regarding being unable to edit - may I suggest a new post then amending as you have done throughout?

I was asking questions as I was reading through the topic and it was only after I had asked the question for the DOS number that I had seen the note regarding them no longer taking calls. I then went ahead and called NVC as suggested.

I have seen the thread with the dates, however I am as well asking on my own topic forums - may be pointless to some but it gives me a piece of mind when people respond with their input and experiences. As I am sure you can understand this process is really long & im at the home stretch so very impatient and anxious to move forward. I am looking to find people who are roughly a month or so ahead of me to see where they are at. But like I said. A piece of mind for me.

Further to this, I have done plenty of research and find many of your comments on topics helpful - however was certainly hoping the CEAC status update meant what was written. However, not always the case which is also why I actually do a lot of "digging around" - not always on my phone either, just currently.
