My interview was scheduled for September 24 however unfortunately it was rescheduled to October 2 because of over booking.

It was a very fantastic experience!!!

I want to say thank you very much to all my fellow VJ member who answer my questions and respond to me in a timely manner and to all those who I inbox and they responded. A big thank you !!!!thank you!!!!!!!

I had my interview on October 2 @ 9 am at the Montreal US consulate. I arrive there at 7:30 am, around 7:40 the guards start letting people in @8 am we were send up in the elevator to the 19th floor.

I was given # 6 for immigrant visa . My number was call up up around 8:30 to window 2 where I hand over my original document ( passport, medical, Guyana police clearance and Canadian police clearance, 2 passport pic, married cert, birth certificate and was fingerprinted and was ask to verify some info ) also for my daughter I hand over (passport, medical, birth certificate, 2 pic and custody documents and took another set of fingerprint to her because she is a minor)

I sent back to sit and wait for my number to call again .

At direct 9 my # was called . I went up to a young man who ask to to read the note on the window.

I was then ask

What does your husband do in NY?

Where does he live ?

When did you get married ?

Where did you get married ?

When did you first meet ?

So I see your husband made xxxxxxxx dollars last, is that true .

Is this your first marriage ?

Has your husband ever been married before ?

Does he have any kids ?

My daughter was then ask.

How old are you?

Is this your real mom ?

Who is xxxxxxxx ( my husband) to you?

Does he be mean to you at any time ?

What the name of your father ?

Do you want to go to NY to live with your mom?

Who will support you if you go to NY to live ?

Would you get a job once you go to NY?

He then came to me.

Have you ever been arrested ?

Have you ever been in the U.S. Illegally?

Did you ever had a visa to the U.S.?

Were you ever deny entry to the U.S. ?

He then said I am going to approved your visa and the slide the welcome notice over and said you should receive your visa in about 5 to 7 business days

And I was out by 9:15 am

I was back in Toronto by 2 pm, around 4 pm my ceac site was already showing issued . On October 5 it was saying visa in final processing . On October 6 I received the email with the waybill # and I pick up my visa today.

To all those who are still waiting I pray that your journey will soon come to an end.

Good luck :)
