Rescheduled K1 interview in Caracas Venezuela

Anybody have any idea why they would do this? Our K1 interview was set for October 20th. and they sent me an email today that it has been rescheduled for November 17 with no explanation. Less than 2 weeks to go and they do this. I already have plane tickets, wedding plans etc. This is very frustrating and disruptive. I still haven't submitted the DS-160. That's the only thing missing. Could that make them change the date 2 weeks before? As far as I know there is no deadline for that application. Any info. or thoughts would be appreciated.

What part of DO NOT make travel plans, quit your job, make wedding plans and so on did you not understand? I've seen people approved after interview wait months and yet you have not even had yours yet. Hope you bought refundable ticket and your wedding schedule and venue is flexible. Best of luck but some time they overbook and reschedule a few people for any number of reasons

I hope your interview went well. I am curious to know if the consulate in Caracas contacted you once they received your case or if you had to contact them first and how many weeks after they received your case were you able to schedule an interview?

My interview still has not happened. As I stated, they rescheduled it for November. When they received my paperwork, I did not have to contact them. They emailed me all the info., including an interview date. I received the email less than a week after they received everything. And the date they scheduled was 1 month after they received everything. And 2 weeks before the interview, I received another email stating that it had been rescheduled. So now we wait!
