I485 - Notice returned as undeliverable - any advice?

Hi all, I recently had my biometrics appointment for my adjustment of status (I485) application. That was a couple of weeks ago. Yesterday I got an e-mail from USCIS stating that they had just had a piece of mail sent back to them by the post office as undeliverable. This is odd, as it is the only piece of mail addressed to me that I have not received. I called USCIS, as advised by the e-mail, and I was told that I have to file an online change of address form, even through my address has not changed. I was told that the notice will be re-mailed in 30-40 days!

I am interested to know what this notice may have been - perhaps my interview for adjustment? I came into the USA on a fiance visa. Has anyone had an experience like this? Does it have the potential to jeopardize anything? I have filed for my employment authorization and advance parole separately.

Have a discussion with your local mail carrier and local postmaster. They will tell you what steps you need to take to assure that future problems are eliminated.

We also had a returned to USCIS by the USPS. I would make a INFOPASS and request the document be resent. You should receive the missing letter within 10 days.

Our NOA for our AOS arrived a week after our BIometrics Appointment notification came. It came in the mail already opened and then Taped closed on the top and side of the envelope with the scanning bar code blacked out on the bottom front of the envelope. The only thing I can think is they delivered it to the wrong adress, and someone opened it.
