Hello all, been a while since Ive been on here but have a question to ask, I am a UK citizen living in South Carolina on a 10 year Green Card. I was going to head back to Scotland to visit my family this year but just noticed my UK passport has expired. Stupid me thought it ran out in 2016. What is the process for getting a new passport that has expired and where do i go and see about getting it done?

Thanks

Thanks for the reply. So as my passport expired 3 months ago, I'm I renewing my passport or applying for a first passport?

You'd be renewing an expired passport. The 'first passport' option is for people who have never applied for one.

Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place, but I dont see the option for renewing an expired passport

You'd click 'renewing red' or 'renewing old black/blue' depending on the passport you have now.

The reason why people renew a passport is because their current one is expired so it wasn't necessary to write 'renew expired passport'
