10 yrs or 2 yrs GC??

Some of the posting are talking about a 10 yrs GC and some of a 2 yrs GC.

From what I know I thought for the first time it will be only for 2 yrs and after these 2 yrs you can remove the conditions and receive a 10 yrs GC.

Is it right or is it different, that in some cases they issue a 10 yrs and some cases they issue a 2 yrs?

They issue a 10 year GC if you have been married for more than 2 years when they approved your AOS. If you're on a K-1, its unlikely that you'll be getting a 10 year GC unless you get stuck in namecheck for many years.

I believe the date they use is when you file for AOS, but if I'm wrong, someone correct me:

2 yr is issued if you've been married less than 2 years when you file

10 yr is issued if you've been married more than 2 years when you file

Its not when you file, its when you get approved.

If you have been married for less than 2 years at the time of interview then you will be given a 2 year conditional Greencard, and you will need to remover the conditions 90 days before the Greencard expires... If you have been married for 2 years or more at interview you will be given a 10 Year Greencard and there is no conditions to remove...
