I called one of my former colleagues and told him the news - within a couple of hours his agent called me and he sounded confident about placing me somewhere. Good things on the horizon I hope.

Man that bites Steven. But I know how you feel. I've had 4 or 5 game projects pulled out from under me and found myself suddenly without work. The only one I regretted was the one that would have had me directing William Shatner. The others ended up with me finding something bigger and better. Good luck with that new agent, and in the meantime enjoy your time with your new family.

Oh Steven so sorry to hear about the news. Life is a like a wheel, sometimes you're on top, sometimes you're under. But you have experiences with your previous job and I'm sure it will be very helpful than not having any. So i'm positive you'll soon have a new job. And you have a beautiful lady Jinky there in good and bad times.

Thanks, Gary. I talked with one of my former teammates tonight and it sounds as if WB is going to continue with the project, but they pulled it from us because they didn't think we could make the product as they wanted it. We had the project in the bag, I thought - over 2 years in development, but I can't say I didn't see it coming - we ran into so many tech problems, personnel changes (the project had at least 5 different lead designers). I stayed on long enough for this visa process because I didn't want to jeopardize the approval, so in a way I'm very thankful it happened now. I was just so unprepared for it - I have to go back to the offices on Monday morning to burn CD's of my animation for a demo reel. I'll feel much more relaxed when I've got that done.
