hi,

can anybody help me with the A# in the i485. there r so many different answers.....

i m confused...can anybody help.....?

it is the alien no. which is either shown on your visa or on your NOA2.

12/16/2006 - Enter States thru Atlanta

01/13/2007 - Marriage

01/19/2007 - Filed AOS and EAD to Chicago

02/06/2007 - NOA that AOS has been forwarded to CSC

02/12/2007 - Fingerprinting in St. Louis

03/28/2007 - email notification that card production ordered!!!! (Day 68)

04/20/2007 - GC in the mail.....no more USCIS for 2 years!!!!!

12/29/08 - Filed I-751 to VSC

01/12/09 - NOA in mail

01/24/09 - received ASC notice

02/06/09 - biometrics appointment in Orlando

02/09/09 - touch

06/01/09 - approval letter in mail

12/11/09 - Filed N-400 to NSC

Not sure how to answer that one. Just have one suggestion though. Could you fill in some sort of timeline and what you are applying for? It's confusing not knowing, although I read back over a few posts and found out. Others might like to know so they can help you later on. Thanks.

also i have a doubt about the Part 2 in form I 485. it says..." I am applying for adjustment of status......" i donno which option shld i select in my case.

I am on student visa and i recently got married to USC (last week).

You're filing I-130 concurrently with I-485. Tick box "A" in part 2 of I-485 because being married to a USC gives you an immidiately available visa number. I know "A" doesn't sound right, but it is the right answer for all people applying for AOS through marriage to a USC.

The wording for this question is out of date, it refers to the days when you had to get I-130 approved before filing I-485. These days you just file them in the same envelope.
