So ive been hearing about the visa packet and such and i just need some reassurance or something because ive read many times that it is NOT required to pick up or receive the packet from the embassy. And from what i know is inside the packet is just what to do such as stuff to prepare before the interview and getting the medical done. Now when i go on the CEAC website to check on our case, it says that we are ready for the interview and it says nothing about getting a packet from the embassy. Can someone please let me know soon how this works because our interview is next thiursday on the 15th.

And also during the interview or by the time the interview is done, do they tell you how long it will take for you to get the visa/passport? and if so what is the timeframe? please please please let me know

No need to wait for any packet from the embassy as long as you have your MNL # you can proceed with the K1 process. Everything you need to know are found on the USEM website. My fiancee just gave me our case number 2 weeks ago and I already did my medical and CFO seminar, I'm just waiting for my interviee on Oct 19. Goodluck to your journey ????

Very important as there are absolutely no walk-ins.

Here are the K-1 interview preparation instructions from the U.S. Embassy Manila web site. This is what the Embassy sometimes sends to out to K-1ers. It used to be called packet 3.
