I didnt put A# on my i485, 325, 765

Quick update on the A#, got my notice of receipt yesterday and they assigned her another A# on the receipt notice.

I129F Vermont Service Center

I-129F Sent: 2006-03-21 I-129F NOA1: 2006-03-28 I-129F NOA2 : 2006-04-20

case sent back from overseas: 2006-05-22 because of IMBRA law

case received back at NVC: 2006-07-21

reopened at VSC: 2006-08-02

I-129F RFE(s) sent from VSC, email notice: 2006-08-03

I-129F RFE(s) received at my house:2006-08-09

RFE returned to VSC via USPS Priority Mail: 2006-08-10

RFE returned to VSC, email notice of receipt: 2006-08-15

Reapproval: 2006-08-29

Sent to NVC: 2006-08-30

I thought you wrote, back in post #9 in this thread, that your wife's A# has only 8 numbers, not 9?

Hers does not start with a zero. This is from Bogota. Perhaps they just know to add it. It has not been an issue yet. Also her EAD only has eight.

Not all consulates put the A# on the visa. The information you get about that from different people will depend on which consulate each person dealt with.

The Service Centers generally do put the A# on the Approval Notice, and Vermont often puts it on the Receipt Notice.

When the A# is 9 digits the leading digit should be a 0 - is that the case with your A#?

I've read several posts on here about the A#, some people said it was on the Visa and some say it is on the NOA2.

I found the one on the NOA2, but it is a nine digit number not 8 like people wrote. There isn't an A# on the K1 visa under my wife's picture.
