I am a little bit confused (ha! - i guess that is why we are "all" here??) and need some help... ;)

When i go for my medicals to Dr. Seiden in Toronto or at MEDISYS in Toronto, do i take take 2 or 3 photographs? my Packet3 instruction says 3 but the MEDISYS voice messge say 2!

Also, do i need my photos with a date stamp at the back of it? what about the issuing studio name? What do i need be at the back of the pics?

thanks,

sapa

hi,

i went to Dr. Seiden's downtown office in Toronto on Sept 11, 2006.

they just asked me only 1 pic, and they don't care about the date or studio or anything at the back of the pic

so if you have any quesion, you can go to their website to check it :)

Can't hurt to bring 3, can it? Worst that can happen is they make you keep the extra one :D

Still, it is rather annoying how inconsistant some information can be!

My medical at Dr. Seiden's was nearly a year ago, so don't remember too much about it expect that I did not need three photos -- I also recall asking the receptionist about it when I phoned to book my appointment. Soooo, just phone and double-check, but I'm certain you don't need three.

Since most photo places in T.O. that I go to seem to stamp the date & studio name on the back of passport photos, mine all had the stamps on them.

I THINK that I only needed 2. Could have been 1 but it certainly was not 3. They even accepted crappy, un-stamped ones. Of course, the consulate did not accept the same crappy ones (I had them done in K-mart - they were super cheap). Looking at them, I kinda expected this, regardless of K-mart's assuring me they were passport quality. So off I went to good old Shoppers Drug Mart and had them done the day before I left. Good thing too.

I miss Shoppers. *sigh*

according to that ONE will suffice

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Thereover, hereunder

You'll never have to wonder

Really? I went to Dr. Seiden's last May and it took only a bit over an hour to get everything done. Review of my experience: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...seiden++toronto (dunno if the link still works, as I had to dig it up from the forum graves :P )

You only need 1 photo. They stick it to your file that gets put in the sealed DO NOT OPEN envelope. If you want to pay for a second copy (where you can open it), it's $50 and they require another photo.

It was fairly busy when I went. Took 2 hours I think. I got there at 7:30 and got out at 9:30. Would have been out at 9 but I had to wait a long time to get blood taken for some reason.
