Hi guys, I first posted on here about a month ago when I was a little confused about the stages prior to the interview.

That's all been completed and I had my medical on the 24th September.. Completed the notification of readiness forum so now is it 6 weeks till I hear about an interview date or will it be within those 6 weeks?
Also.. is there any way you can organise a sooner one? I'm guessing not as every one would want one but if you don't ask, you'll never know!
Really can't wait to be back with my partner!!

If you have some reason to expedite, like your fiance is giving birth or having open heart surgery this month, they might consider a request. You are right, everybody would want to move it up and they are dishing them out as fast as they can at a rate of maybe 400-500 a day. Most hear something before six weeks pass.

Couple of questions.. Am I right in thinking we have to call the DOS to find out if there is an interview date yet? I'm worried I may not receive a letter as I never did on previous steps.

Also, I'm really really worrying about the affidavit of support as I have been reading different things online.. My partner doesn't earn enough at the minute to sponsor me so her mother who has a good income agreed to. Is this ok?

Don't call DOS. They quit answering questions over a year ago because too many called every day twice a day instead of waiting. The NVC will sometimes tell you and sometimes not if you call but it's often hard to get in and a long wait. Try using the contact form to tell London you did not receive your other letter so are afraid your interview letter may not come.

If you did not read affidavit of support info straight from an experienced London K1 person or in this UK forum, then it may not even apply to your situation. Yes, London will accept Mom's I-134 and would even accept it as the ONLY I-134 turned in. You fiance doesn't even need to do one.
