Looks like you filed in January going by the message in quotes above. This thread is for October filers. Look for the "January AOS filers" thread and post in there, as that's where you'll get more information and help relevant to the date that you filed.

Thanks!

I found this thread via Google and I'm not overly familiar with forums in general.

Hi everyone. Is any one you filing at the Des Moines, Iowa area? If so, have you heard anything back on your end. We filed October 26th, got the EAD card January 8th, but status for our I-485 has been stuck on 'ready to be scheduled for interview' since early January. :clock:

Hi RPRP123 - Congrats on getting your scheduled interview! My wife filed her AOS on September and unfortunately she hasn't received her interview date yet. Her FO is also Newark, NJ. Please keep me posted on how your interview went since we will be there also - hopefully soon enough.

Totally tired of waiting. Our status still says "fingerprint fee received." ugh.

The website is totally screwed! Mine is still stuck at RFE received from December last year. Yet I got my approval notice in the mail on Saturday. Daughter's approval arrived yesterday by mail and the website says her card is out for delivery. Mine? Still says RFE received. Not only that, but I went to check my other applications for AP and EAD and the AP reference now says that it was returned undelivered in February. I have my combo card so I have no clue what that's about.

Also, I happened to call USCIS the day after the approval to put in a service request. I had no idea the application had been approved and the agent I spoke to made no reference to the fact that there had been any action on our files at all. Bottom line is that the website is as reliable as ever!

Congrats for you and daughter. You two really deserve it. :dancing:

I think I'm on the green card in 2017 track.

Thank you so much! It was such a surprise and relief as there had been no indication that they had so much as looked at our stuff since last November. I will breathe easy when I have both cards in my hands though.

It looks like a lot of the local offices in Florida and Texas (among others) are way behind. I had to really work the agent with my best efforts of charm to persuade her that we should be able to file a service request. Then the website says other weird stuff. It's the same old story of the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. I really hope you hear something soon!!

Finished Interview at Tampa Office.

Get Ticket number and waited four number. After 25 min, officer called our ticket number and walk us to the room. Before we sit, He took us under oath. Than ask ID & Passport, verify name with form. "Officer was very nice and professional."

Entire interview was like conversation than Q&A. We interviewed together, nothing related to personal or current life. Interview last for less than 30 mins.

  • First request us to give supportive evidences, if any thing new. We gave Tax 2015, Life, Health & Auto Insurance, He asked copy health claim made using current insurance.
  • Than asked petitioner about Job and position. After that I presented, Joint account details and he requested to show the statement where petitioner’s pay deposited.
  • Officer asked some questions about name of in-laws, verify my SSN & phone or any name change.
  • I was entered on F-1, so he asked me about study, which was completed. Luckily, i brought copy of degree certificate, he was pleased to see that.
  • We showed family pictures to officer, to keep in file. Also, we submitted current lease & credit card year end summary.
  • Then officer ask “No” questions of i-485. in end he ask when, where & how questions about marriage.

I asked him about conditional card, he said no as our marriage has more than 2 years. He has not given us letter saying pending, review nor stamp my passport.

Still my status on website shows "Interview is schedule"

Any Newark filers updates?

Dates office working on ..?

Early November filer here, so close to some of you October filers. Just found out last week that my case had been transferred to Newark (my local office should be Tampa). This is despite USCIS telling me numerous times that my local office was Tampa when I called, though they couldn't confirm that my case was actually there. It took involving my local congressman to find out where my case actually was.

According to USCIS processing times, Tampa are currently processing October 22nd 2015 I-485's, Newark are only up to April 2015. Apparently my case is a potential interview waver, so why they sent it to a different office that is 6 months behind my local office is anyone's guess. I despair of the USCIS...

It's the USCIS way!! Isn't it fun!

My local office is on July, but they've only moved up processing by about 3 weeks in the last 3 months so I'm planning on my husbands green card being approved in 2017 at that rate.

Anki - My local field office is Newark and I received the interview notice today. My application date was 10/28. Hang in there, you should get your invite in the next couple of weeks hopefully. The USCIS processing times webpage seems to be horribly out of date.
