Hi rprp123, I'm adjusting status from H1B under F2A category. Priority Date 08/2014. Filed for AOS 10/08/2016. My status also says Fingerprint Fee is accepted. I understand your frustration. Hopefully, our cases get approved soon. Good luck to you!

Thanks for sharing Krisdisc

Looks like we will have interview around similar timeline. Keep us posted with your status updates.

I am in the same category. My prediction is that our interview will be scheduled sometime during May to mid-year. My PD is 12/31/2014. Check out my timeline. I have my EAD so I'm not stressing about the GC. If I continue to behave like I did when I was awaiting my EAD, I'll wound up hospitalized for mental issues. Relax, it does us no good. ?

Thanks Chejemmie

Yeah I think you are right I should wait and relax but looking at all the OCT filers getting their GCs so early, I can't stop my self checking status of my case everyday

I am guessing our case is delayed because we are married to LPR and not USC, and that might have added some extra checks in our application process. However I think 5 months is too long. I should have at least got status "case is ready for interview" because I know even after my case gets ready for interview my local office, Newark NJ, will take 3-4 months to schedule GC interview.

I finally have my interview!.march 24!!yey

Congrats!

I could not agree more. While my EAD was pending, I was checking the USCIS website so frequently, that I honestly thought I would be banned from that site! It became an obsession at one point, which was not good. . In any case, there's really nothing we can do but wait.

I'm switching jobs, thanks to the EAD, and I'm very grateful for that. The green card will come when it does. At least my life is no longer on hold. Good luck, everyone!

I filed aos for my minor child in October 2015.

Received text today that aos was approved, without an interview. I am so happy. This means my child is automatically a U.S. citizen. Wishing those still waiting will be approved soon.

Hang in there! My wife filed her AOS in Sept 2015 and her cases hasn't been updated. Our lawyer did update us that it's sitting at our local field office for processing. Our local field office is about 8-9 months behind with I-485. So we expect to be waiting for a long time.

Thanks Chejemmie

I just wanted to say I'm also from NJ and your wait time is normal for NJ. Those October filers who have already got their GC approved are not from NJ/NYC which unfortunately have the longest wait times. I haven't received the "case is ready for interview" status either even though I'm married to USC. In fact, my case has not been updated since October at all, except for the AP document that I received.

Thanks Chejemmie

Oh God! Mine is Seattle so I've got a long wait as well 200 something days :( ..

Are you going to call USCIS or your local office in Detroit?

Thanks for the link by the way kind of eased my mind although I am pretty sure they'll make me redo my medical now.

Most K-1 AOS-ers get approved for their conditional GC's without an interview and therefore do not need to wait for an interview. There is a possibility that you won't need to wait for an interview.
