02 Aug 2012 -- Met online

23 Feb 2013 -- Relations began (L)

19 May 2014 -- Visited! :luv:

26 Jun 2014 -- Engaged :dancing:

15 Oct 2014 -- I-129F package finished and mailed to Dallas

17 Oct 2014 -- NOA1 (email) TSC

22 Oct 2014 -- ARN updated

13 May 2015 -- NOA2 (email) :dancing:

19 May 2015 -- NOA2 Hardcopy

4 June 2015 -- NVC received (I think lol) Case number assigned.

11th June 2015 -- NVC sent to Bridgetown

16th June 2015 -- Bridgetown received

17th June 2015 - PCKT3 received
30th June 2015 - PCKT4 received

9th July 2015 - Medical (too many needles :/ )

21st July 2015 - Interview date :goofy:

10th August 2015 - Approved

12th August 2015 - Issued

13th August 2015 - Visa in hand via DHL

24th August 2015 - US arrival (POE MIA)

Hi Everybody!

My husband and I try to fill taxes today using turbotax... Last Tuesday I went to the ssa to change my name... our taxes application was rejected because the name on IRS doesnt match on SSA.... I hope this won't be a problem... how long do we have to wait to resubmit our taxes? how long does it take to SSA and IRS to update my information? Is there going to be any problem such as a delay and how long could it be? Thank you in advance for your responses :D

AOS FROM F1 VISA (2015-2016)

DAY 000 - 10/24 - sent i485, i130 and i765 (NO AP)

DAY 001 - 10/27 - received (priority date)

DAY 008 - 11/03 - NOA1

DAY 028 - 11/23 - fingerprints appointment

DAY 037 - 12/02 - i485 "Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview"

DAY 081 - 01/15 - sent electronic service request on i765. That same day was approved

DAY 086 - 01/20 - EAD was mailed to me.

DAY 089 - 01/23 - EAD received

DAY 150 - 03/20 - Interview scheduled

DAY 182 - 04/21 - Interview approved

DAY 190 - 04/29 - Green Card received

ROC

01/22/2018 - Eligible to fill ROC

Received approval for GC today! Status online now states "A new card is being processed". SWEET RELIEF. Good luck to everyone else and I hope your cards come swiftly.

Receipt Notice Date: 10/06/2015

Biometrics on 10/27/2015

EAD/AP got approved just this week 01/28/2016

No news or updates on I-485

No news or updates on I-485

Did anyone else get a GC approved without receiving a notice for a potential interview waiver in the mail? We just noticed that my husband's status on USCIS changed one day from 'we received your response for RFE' to 'new card is being produced' It was really surprising, we weren't expecting it at all.

I don't know how long it could take for the two databases to match, but here is something that may help:

https://www.irs.gov/uac/Five-Tips-if-You-Changed-Your-Name-Due-to-Marriage-or-Divorce

You may be able to call the IRS line at 1-800-829-1040 (TAX-1040) and ask what is the 'name control' (The first four letters of your last name) is showing. I mean ask them what your new last name is showing, and then you know if you are in the clear. The problem is that the wait may be a long wait since many people call during tax time.

I have seen many cases that get approved without NPIW, so congrats!!

I am worried that it will take long for a interview.... I am adjusting from F1 visa through marriage.... I hope to get an interview letter on February.
