Congratulations to all that got their approval!!! Wish us luck to all of us that are still waiting!!!

Btw, I got notification that my AP was approved last Jan. 8, no EAD yet, do they send approval of an AP only? How long does it take for them to send the hard copy after notification of approval? Its really tedious going to the post office to check on it everyday. Thanks for any inputs.

For us they never updated the status for the AP. Only the EAD changed to approved since it's a combo card. We got the card in about 3 business days then the actual hard copy letter a few days later. You should be able to get the tracking number in the EAD status whenever it's mailed out via priority mail.

thanks! 20 days since you got approved? You should have received it by now if that's true. Did your EAD status change to "card was mailed" or "card was deliver to the post office"? If not you may want to call USCIS and see what's the hold up. On avg most people receive the physical card about 7-10 business days from approval date.

I called them already last week and they created a service report which stated that it will be assigned to an officer. Yes I am concerned as no notification re EAD up to now . Yes AP approval was last Jan 8. Was hoping to get is soon so I can get a driver's license and SSN.

I went to the DMV to have my license transferred and they told me that EAD is not proof of residence but I can use NOA1 for I485, even if it's better to have the GC in hand.

(though this might change from state to state)

PS: I did my SSN even before getting married...It say DHS AUTHORIZATION TO WORK. does it mean that once I have the GC I have to go change it??

Yes they have the SSN info, and I got the SSN way back in August when I moved.

That's how I got the 3-month temporary DL - now I have to renew it and the lady told me that she can't verify me with the EAD and she had to do this SAVE verification thing and call me back in a week or so.

I mean I've already for so long so a week is fine but it's just annoying that I have to wait in DMV office again

Good luck on your test!!!

Wow this is crazy. Did you go to exchange your out of country for a MD license or were you applying for a new one? I've had a learning permit for people over 25 during my status as an F1. Decided to do my skills exam using NOA1 for AOS and EAD. I passed, but they had to run a SAVE verification and I received a call a week later stating that USCIS allowed MVA to give me my license for 1 month. Can you believe it? My husband has a GC and exchanged his license for MD one. It's a very complicated process. The good thing about it is that you get to keep your driving record from your home country. Message me if you need details on MD's MVA process.

Thank you! :).. that sure is annoying and weird since you should be already in their system since you got your temporary DL months ago.. Hopefully you'll hear something soon.. I know the waiting game is really frustrating but we kinda just have to deal with it :/.. good luck in your process! :)

So I have a possibly very exciting question!

I logged onto the uscis website today as I though...you never know. It says on my updates for AOS that on 1/29 they received my response to RFE. Then same date it's update again saying new card in production!

Tell me it's true please?!?!? It's (GC) is coming right???

Our status did the same thing. It randomly went from we received our response to RFE to card is in production. The GC is supposed to arrive today according to USPS. I will let you know what happened.
