To avoid any problems it has been recommended to use the name that is on the passport, also bring a copy of your marriage license if you had a name change,

definitely agree always book in what it says on your passport and bring your marriage certificate,I know someone who had problems they didn't book in their passport name and anything with immigration is so hard to predict so it really isn't worth assuming you will have anything by a certain time Edited by eskla

I suppose you can reach out to your congressman or senator tomorrow and see if they can inquire on your behalf. And keep trying to schedule an infopass. It's such a hopeless feeling.

I'm on day 87. I'm certain I'll be in your shoes in 3 more days.

Day 90 on Wednesday. Did 2 service requests and haven't received a response via mail yet, especially as we've gotten no mail since Wednesday of last week. This is driving me insane.

Hello All,

I'm happy to see many are progressing in a positive way and I'm really sorry for others that have issues.

We did our interview but were not "approved" because they said my spouses "security check" hadn't gotten to them as of yet. (((sigh))). They also did the "separated interview" (sorry can't remember exactly what's that's called). We did ok, but there were a couple of questions we couldn't remember. They asked us what the last movie we saw together... We couldn't for the life of use remember... all we remembered was it was a "kid's movie". We only really see "kid's movies" and most I fall asleep in. LOLOL.

They told us that there wasn't any reason for the green card to be approved but they needed to wait on the security clearance.

What then we got confused about was later that night, we received an email RFE. We were like... WTHeck is this for? We've been awaiting the actual letter in the mail and haven't received it as of yet. <_< We've been going through this process (meaning first K1 visa and now AOS) and every single notice came within a few days of getting an email or text notification. Not sure why we haven't gotten this notice as of yet, but it's REALLY frustrating. ESPECIALLY when they didn't tell us we needed to submit anything further in the interview. We felt he basically gave us an "approval" awaiting the security clearance.

Again, our unfortunate situation is my spouse is from a red flag country and because of the San Bernadino tragedy, I'm guessing we're being a bit more scrutinized. I thought it was VERY strange a security clearance hadn't been submitted as of yet. But maybe they're doing MORE for those countries and our circumstances. :(

So, we're here in limbo trying to figure out what the heck is going on....

Our USCIS status says, "Continuation Notice Was Mailed". Another unfortunate thing is we have to wait until Feb. 10th to "request" a copy. Frustrating.

Anyone know of anything like this before?

Our lovely journey!!

10/08/2015: AOS packet sent to USCIS (Chicago lockbox) via USPS Priority mail (They received it 10/10/15).

10/16/2015: Text/eEmails received from USCIS with receipt number. We received 3.

10/22/2015: Received hard copies of NOA's for I-131, I-765, & I-485.

11/01/2015: Got NOA for biometrics appt (for 11/12/15).

11/03/2015: Did WALK IN biometrics appt - took 15 mins. Person taking said work permit should be in mail in less than 4 wks.

12/09/2015: Got email/text notification for INTERVIEW date.

12/28/2015: Got email/text notification EAD card has been mailed.

12/31/2015: Received EAD/AP card.

01/11/2016: INTERVIEW (in Los Angeles office).

01/11/2016: Case in in "CONTINUANCE". Awaiting approval. (Feels like AP).

06/27/2016: I-485 APPROVED - (FINALLY!!!) / 264 DAYS (8 MONTHS 20 DAYS)

07/01/2016: GREEN CARD RECEIVED

I can't look at the november people. Too much anger within me.

Go here to find out who your congressman is: http://www.house.gov/representatives/find/

Here for Senators: http://www.senate.gov/general/contact_information/senators_cfm.cfm

Go to their websites. Each should have a page for "help with a federal agency" or something along those lines. They will probably have a contact form and a privacy release form. Fill those out. My congressman had a bio page for his staff so I just contacted the lady who handles this sort of thing directly.

I had more luck receiving a response from my congress liaison, but it just depends. You might think about reaching out to all of them and seeing who responds first.

Great thanks.

Found the congressman here and about to fill out the form but what do I write in order for him to know what to do?

Like hey I need help with my EAD wich have been pending for the 90 days and then give him my receipt number?

Haha any suggestions??

Basically, yeah. They will probably ask for your NOA1 for the EAD so might as well get that ready to send. Just explain that you've passed the processing time posted and want some help figuring out the status of your I-765.

I'm not really sure they can do much, but I don't see how it can hurt. Maybe it forces someone to look at your file and deal with it.
