Oh no!!! I think I got lucky because that date was the only date available in February. I'm so tired of being at the mercy of USCIS.

... And I thought I was the only October filer not yet approved ...

Sometimes I think will all the people later than us putting in service requests, they are so busy with those and can't deal with us ...

You are not alone, although I don't think there are too many of us left. I use the case tracker app and most of those I'm following around my date were approved the week before last.

Well,

I have sent in 2 service request and called in once in between.

Jan 6, 2016 - I sent in a SR via the online page

Jan 8, 2016 (or maybe Jan 9) I called in, the lady on the phone told me that she can see the first SR response as "still within normal processing time" and told me that I will get the formal response by mail (which I don't understand - why can't they simply email or text?) Also she told me she can't submit any SR until 30 days later

Jan 11, 2016 - sent in another request again, via online tool

Jan 13, 2016 - Super frustrated and made an INFOPASS appointment with local office on Jan 27..

Jan 15 - early morning I checked - CARD IN PRODUCTION!!!!

Cancelled the INFOPASS appointment right away.

Funny part is -

I received the mail last Saturday (Jan 16) regarding the first SR I sent in, it pretty much says it's still within normal processing time and no action is required from me blah blah blah.

And yesterday I received the mail reply regarding the second SR I submitted, wording changes and it says "we are reviewing your case and will make a decision" or something like that.

I feel like someone is working on our cases for sure, it's just slow due and backlogged due to the holidays.

Good luck to you!

That infopass service online almost ALWAYS says no available times :( I was told by the officer last time to check after 5PM local time is when they release the next set of time slots. Or if you check early morning about 4AM is when they release the appointments for people that canceled that day. I was able to make my infopass appmt the last couple times with this tip. :)

Are you sure you need a SSN to get a DL? I didn't......I'd say it would be worth calling up to find out, could save you two weeks!

I took UK DL, UK passport, EAD.

I didn't have any bills with my name, but took my wife with me, and our marriage certificate, so that I could try to prove address. They ended up having me sign a form stating I lived there. All very easy! GOOD LUCK!

From CA DMV:

Birth date verification and legal presence requirements

The issue of identification reliability, integrity, and confidentiality is of prime concern to all citizens. Eligibility for government services, issuance of various licenses, assessment of taxes, the right to vote, etc., are all determined through evaluations based on identification documents. It is critical that identification documents be authenticated and accurate in identifying each individual. The California driver license and ID card have been declared as primary identification documents in this state by the California legislature.

State law requires every applicant for an original California identification (ID) card and driver license to show verification of birth date and proof of legal presence within the United States to help safeguard the accuracy and integrity of departmental documents.

If your current name no longer matches the name on your birth date/legal presence document, see "True Full Name" and "How to Change Your Name" for more information.

Only the original or a certified copy of one of the following documents is acceptable:

  • Permanent Resident Card
  • Temporary Resident Identification Card
  • Canadian Passport/Birth Certificate
  • Non-resident Alien Canadian Border Crossing Card
  • Valid foreign passport with a valid Record of Arrival/Departure (form I-94)
  • "Processed for I-551" stamped in a valid foreign passport
  • Permanent Resident Re-entry Permit
  • Refugee travel document
  • Employment Authorization Card
  • Valid I-94 stamped "Refugee," "Parole or Parolee," "Asylee," or Section 207, Section 208, Section 209, Section 212d(2), HP or PIP
  • Valid I-94 with attached photo stamped "Processed for I-551 temporary evidence of lawful admission for permanent residence"
  • Notice of Action (I-797 Approved Petition) - must indicate approved extension of stay or change in status that grants temporary or permanent residency, or indicates that an original, duplicate or renewal Resident Alien card is forthcoming.

Any late October filers (AOS: I-130, I-485) still waiting for interview schedule or some update?

What are your priority dates? Mine shows 10/29/2015

Last response from them was this:

On December 3, 2015, we received your response to our Request for Evidence for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSC169*******. Our National Benefits Center office will begin working on your case again. We will mail you a decision or notify you if we need something from you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.
